Connecticut's First Technical Magnet School
RiverTech at Goodwin University, Connecticut’s first technical magnet high school, began welcoming 9th grade scholars in the 2025-26 school year as part of its 9-12th grade program. Located on Goodwin University's East Hartford campus, RiverTech offers a cutting-edge curriculum centered around business, entrepreneurialism, and technology.
Students have the unique opportunity to explore fields such as automation (drones, robots, and industrial automation), production and fabrication (CNC machining, welding, quality control), system integration (electronics, design thinking), and SMART Factory (data analytics, cyber security, artificial intelligence). RiverTech provides internships, pre-apprenticeships, and other hands-on experiences for its scholars by utilizing the newest and most revolutionary technology. RiverTech’s innovative approach equips scholars with the tools and experiences necessary to thrive in the rapidly evolving technological landscape.
RiverTech’s state-of-the-art facility will be completed and ready for students by the 2026-27 school year.
